What areas do you cover?
We're based in Saxmundham and most of our work is within about 25 minutes — Leiston, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Woodbridge, Framlingham, Snape, Halesworth, Wickham Market and the villages around them. We'll happily travel further for the right job.
Are quotes free?
Yes. We come out, look at the work, ask the right questions and send you a written quote — no obligation and no chasing.
How quickly can you start?
It varies by season. Small property maintenance jobs we can usually fit in within 1–2 weeks. Bigger decorating jobs typically go 3–6 weeks out. We'll always give you a realistic date, not an optimistic one.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully — public liability cover for work in homes, rentals and small commercial properties. We can share a copy of the certificate on request.
Do you work for landlords and letting agents?
Regularly. Between-tenancy turnarounds, repairs raised on inspections, EICR follow-ups and ongoing maintenance contracts. We invoice directly to whoever needs it.
How do you take payment?
Bank transfer for most jobs, due on completion. For larger projects we'll usually agree a small deposit to cover materials and a final payment on sign-off. No cash-only nonsense.
What happens if you find more work once you've started?
We stop and talk to you. We don't tack on extras without your say-so. If something genuinely needs sorting we'll explain why, what it'll cost and let you decide.
Do you handle gas, electrics or structural work?
We don't, and we'll tell you straight if a job needs a specialist. We work alongside local gas-safe engineers, electricians and structural trades and can usually recommend someone reliable.
Do you supply materials?
Yes — we can supply trade paint, fixings, timber, ironmongery and so on, usually at better cost than retail. Happy to use your own preferred products too if you'd rather.
Will the house be liveable while you work?
For most interior decorating, yes. We mask, sheet, tidy daily and plan the running order so there's always somewhere normal to sit, eat and sleep.
Do you guarantee your work?
We stand by what we do. If there's a workmanship issue within a reasonable period, we come back and put it right — no awkward conversations needed.
